Who Can We Trust

We can and must trust totally the Lord alone and His Word, the Bible. We must be very wise and careful about who else and what else we trust. There is no one and nothing we can trust 100 percent of the time but the Lord and the Bible. We can trust individuals who serve the Lord more than those who don*t. If we do not serve the Lord ourselves, we lack the wisdom to know who we can trust. We can trust individuals who know the Bible and live it more than those who don*t. If we do not know the Bible and live it ourselves, we will not know very well who we can trust. If we only serve the Lord sometimes, we will only sometimes know who we can trust. If we only know and live some of the Bible we will only know who to trust sometimes. We can place a greater measure of trust in individuals who are committed to the Lord than those who aren*t. If we are not committed to the Lord ourselves, we will not always know who we can trust. There are multitudes of individuals we simply cannot trust and we will be greatly harmed if we do trust them.

Personally, I believe the King James translation of the Bible is the finest one available. I place less trust in individuals who have produced and trust modern translations of the Bible. Our entire nation has become increasingly corrupt at the same time that it has moved away from the King James Bible.

Joshua 23:14: And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

Psalms 19:7: The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Proverbs 3:5: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

1 Corinthians 11:1: Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

A multitude of individuals that we should not trust are those who do not regularly attend a Biblical church. You cannot even trust yourself if you are not a regular church attender.

Hebrews 10:25: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Other individuals we should not trust are those who do not visibly love Christians.

John 13:35: By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Colossians 2:8: Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
